beauty, after is part of my ongoing beauty project, which began in 2019. Written for piano and percussion, with optional electronics and lighting, the work continues an extended exploration of the concept of beauty through sound, performance, and perception. The piece has been performed a few times by percussionist Josh Perry and pianist Yumi Suehiro as part of ensemble mise-en’s concert series, including presentations at MISE-EN_PLACE and the MISE-EN Festival 2026.
