    Before the summer began, I accepted the position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Music Technology at Colby College, starting in Fall 2024. In this role, I will teach courses in music technology, composition, and theory. Having taught music theory at New York University for some time, this transition marks an exciting new chapter for me. I am eager to work with the talented students and esteemed colleagues at Colby. Additionally, I have already initiated collaborative projects with several faculty members, including choral music and sound installation projects.     Le Vivier, a Montreal-based organization that facilitates the development of new music and offers presentations of quality works, has invited me to join four days (March 9 to 12, inclusive) of professional meetings and encounters alongside the La Semaine du Neuf 2024 festival as an international presenter. I am very much looking forward to meeting many leaders in New Music from around the globe and also reconnecting with Jeffrey Stonehouse, the Artistic Director of Le Vivier, with whom I worked on my pierrot piece “Fairy Tale” about a decade ago.     Reembodied Sound 2024

    In early November, I submitted two proposals to the Reembodied Sound 2024 Festival and Symposium at EMPAC, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (February 2-3, 2024). I am delighted to share the great news that both of my proposals have been accepted. The first proposal I submitted was for a presentation titled ‘Sonic Explorations: Transducers, DIY Interfaces, and the Evolution of Laptop Orchestras.’ In this presentation, I will share what my new_LOrk has researched on transducers as input and output.
