I am honored to have been selected as a 2026 NYSCA Grantee to compose a new work for unheard of// ensemble. This commission is especially exciting because I will be collaborating with one of the city’s most dedicated and adventurous new music ensembles. The ensemble’s leader, clarinetist Ford Fourqurean, has been a longtime collaborator with ensemble mise-en, and I’ve had the pleasure of performing alongside him many times, including at MISE-EN’s annual festival. I am thrilled to announce the release of my new album, String Works, out via Stradivarius. This album features a collection of string compositions, ranging from solo violin to string octet, with and without electronics. The performances are brought to life by the incredible JACK Quartet, Mivos Quartet, Momenta Quartet, and Amorsima Trio. String Works will be available online starting November 14, and physical copies are also available now via Stradivarius! I’m thrilled to share that I’ve joined NYU Steinhardt as a Music Assistant Professor starting Fall 2025! The first two weeks have already been so rewarding—getting to know new students and colleagues in the Music Technology program has been a wonderful experience. I’m excited for the journey ahead, to contribute to the program, and to collaborate with my students on creative and innovative projects.
