I am honored to have been selected as a 2026 NYSCA Grantee to compose a new work for unheard of// ensemble.

This commission is especially exciting because I will be collaborating with one of the city’s most dedicated and adventurous new music ensembles. The ensemble’s leader, clarinetist Ford Fourqurean, has been a longtime collaborator with ensemble mise-en, and I’ve had the pleasure of performing alongside him many times, including at MISE-EN’s annual festival. Cellist Iva Casian-Lakoš has also participated in several MISE-EN projects, and it has always been inspiring to work with her. I have also admired the performances of violinist Matheus Souza and pianist Daniel Anastasio, and I can’t wait to hear what we create together as an ensemble.

The tentative premiere of this new work is planned for December 6 at 7:30 PM at MISE-EN_PLACE. I look forward to sharing more details as the project develops!
