One of my interests lies in exploring the social implications of computer music interaction. In my piece, on resonance (2022) for violin and live electronics, I use Max and Logic to craft electronic sounds and dynamically control the processed audio in real time, responding to the soloist’s performance. This composition challenges the conventional hierarchy between acoustic instruments (played by humans) and electronics (controlled by computers), aiming to elevate electronics from mere background sounds to integral components as significant as the live instruments themselves. The evolving landscape of Human-Computer Interaction prompts reflections on culture, craftsmanship, and authenticity, and my continuing research delves into how artists engage with technology to create meaningful works.
