This piece was composed as a result of the HA-MIRZA Project. Composer Adam Mirza and I teamed up to host the Amorsima trio as the ensemble-in-residence at MISE-EN_PLACE in 2019. Unfortunately, due to COVID, we had to postpone the project, and finally, in 2022, we were able to resume it.

Amorsima spent about a week at MISE-EN_PLACE working with Adam and me. Following the premiere concert, we conducted a recording session at the Mercer Recording Studio at New York University.
